****World War 2 Italian Wall Banner Sardinia With Arms of Savoy Approx. 38" x 68", A more obscure and less known piece of history, the Kingdom of Italy had multiple flags, many with different house Coat of Arms and variations. This particular flag is a rather large piece of material, measuring approximately 38 inches tall and 68 inches wide. This flag uses tie strings on the left side, where the green half is portion is present. The Savoy Coat of Arms is present, however it seems to be configured in a strange way. The Coat of Arms is tilted in a sideways configuration if this flag would be flown on a pole, which leads me to wonder if this was meant to be hung on a wall or podium, yet the colors would be turned sideways as well. The Condition of the flag itself is very nice, with small pin holes present in areas, as well as what appears to be dried mud, or caked on dirt. The white portion does show some yellowing and golden brown discoloration spots. The tie strings are present and in good condition, showing no tears or missing strings. There is a very small ink stamp about the size of an American half dollar piece, which has some faded spots. The most I can personally make out is a star in the middle, with some letters. Overall, a nice piece of Italian history from an era that was less than pleasant for many Italians, and people world wide.............See Images****
