    Description

    Original WWII and earlier Royal Italian Army lapel button hole pin.  The enameled color and symbol at the bottom identifies the branch or arm of service and the crown above represents the pre-1946 Italian Monarchy.  The rank of the soldier is displayed by chevrons on the front of the pin.  The second pin, designed like an Italian officer's rank pin was worn by Italian officer's veterans of WWII.
