The thickness of the fibre pad is sufficient to prevent burning of the table or bed surface. The silicone rubber mat attached to the right hand corner allows you to put down your hot iron flat rather than vertical which considerably eases the movement. It completely eliminates the need of having an ironing board taking up your valuable space, so you can get rid of your existing board also. The Large Size of the mat 120 x 70 cm ( 47" x 28" in ) is perfect for ironing of large garments which are uncomfortable to do on a board. The Mat can be quickly folded or rolled for easy storage (see pictures).
