    Vehicle Details
From the previous owner “I bought the car August 24, 2018 from another gearhead in Ozark, Mo. He had recently rebuilt front and rear suspensions including springs, shocks, kingpins and all bushings. He did new rear brakes, wheel cylinders and lines - fronts had been done not long before it he bought 1 ½ years earlier. He replaced the fuel tank, and fuel pumps as well as cleaning all lines, installed a new battery and some straightening on a battered battery box and added a master cutoff switch. He switched the rear end to the narrower wire wheel type housing to accommodate the wider TR6 wheels that are on the car and installed new seals and shims. He was a British mechanic and has a shop in Springfield, Mo. And occasionally drove the car back and forth to work to “feel” the car out and get it squared away. He had bought the car to build it as a Chevy powered GT, but after doing all the previous About this time a GT with a V6 already fitted came up for sale at a decent price and he purchased it. So he decided to sell the red car. The previous owner had the floors, rocker panels, and rear quarter panels replaced - so no rust showing anywhere. There are bondo repairs on the right rear that are consistent with that area being hit at some point in its life. The repairs are visible due to old bondo's habit of developing fine cracks that are deeper than paint cracks alone. Paint is poor- appears to be an amateurish attempt. OK in pics or from 10 ft.away but in need without a doubt. Starts, stops, shifts, and steers well. Only issue I see is a small oil leak at rear of engine – just enough to get on the exhaust and produce a smell. Has not used any oil, but has a spot where I park it. The heater for this car was removed and boxed before I bought it. I have since restored it and all components are present but not fitted. The car has been sitting in my garage since I bought it and taken out a couple of times every month and driven 15-20 miles. My plans were to do the engine swap on the GT. Then I got delayed with a knee replacement that slowed me down. It would have been easier to do the swap into the GT because of the some physical body configurations but I decided I wanted the convertible and decided to sell the GT.”
